The 9th 3-country throating festival in 2025 will be hosted by Dien Bien province, the event will also be attended by Lai Chau province; Phong-Sa-ly province (Laos) and Jiangcheng district, Pu'er city, Yunnan province (China).
After 3 days of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 34 sets of medals to 34 competitions in 6 sports, including: Concussion, tug of war, role-playing, shooting, pickleball and stick pushing.
Specifically, the first prize for the whole delegation went to Dien Bien province, with a total of 18 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
The second prize for the whole group went to Lai Chau province. The third prize went to Phong-Sa-ly province (Laos) and Jiangcheng district (China).
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Tran Hai Ha - Acting Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee said that the throwing festival is also a typical cultural and foreign event in the border area, tightening traditional solidarity and friendship, enhancing understanding, trust and cooperation, and exchange between the people of the three countries.
According to Mr. Ha, the festival honored the unique cultural and traditional values of the ethnic groups in the border area. Contributing to building a peaceful, stable, friendly, cooperative and sustainable border.
During the 3 days of the festival, cultural, sports, tourism and exchange activities were organized thoughtfully, solemnly, safely and successfully, said Mr. Tran Hai Ha.
At the closing ceremony, people and tourists enjoyed the art program with the theme "Forever the belief" including 2 chapters: "Combined colors - Towards the future" and "The quintessence of Vietnam - Laos - China culture, cooperation and development".
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented the flag to host the 10th Tet Festival to Giang Thanh District, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province (China).
