The number of international visitors to Vietnam continues to increase compared to the same period in 2024 thanks to the effect of favorable visa policies, the right direction in restructuring the tourist market, the efforts of businesses and localities in renewing products and promoting and advertising activities widely deployed.

This year, the long Lunar New Year holiday was announced early and the weather was favorable, so tourism activities were vibrant and bustling in almost all tourist destinations across the country. Tourists tend to choose famous heritage, spiritual and cultural destinations in the following localities: Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Hanoi, Mui Ne, Hoi An, Sa Pa. In addition, destinations in the northern mountainous region also attract many visitors from the south. The trend of independent travel, small groups, families, and self-booking services at the destination continues to increase, especially in destinations close to the source markets of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City is estimated to welcome 2.1 million visitors, an increase of 16.7%; Total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 7,690 billion VND, an increase of 17.4% over the same period in 2024. Hanoi is estimated to welcome 1 million visitors, an increase of 6%; Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 3,530 billion VND, an increase of 7.85% over the same period in 2024.
Quang Ninh is estimated to welcome 969,000 visitors; an increase of 21%; Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 2,665 billion, an increase of 71% over the same period in 2024.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau (from January 29, 2025 to February 2, 2025) is estimated to welcome 869,433 visitors, an increase of 27.09%; Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 558.4 billion VND, an increase of 23.78% over the same period in 2024.
Khanh Hoa (from January 28, 2025 to February 1, 2025) is estimated to welcome 825,195 visitors, an increase of 30.6%; Total revenue from tourists is estimated to reach more than VND 1,246 billion, an increase of 41.7% over the same period in 2024.

Lao Cai is estimated to welcome 331,382 visitors, an increase of 24.96%; Total revenue from tourists reaches 1,201 billion VND, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2024.
Hue City is estimated to welcome 118,614 visitors, an increase of 35%; Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 178 billion VND, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2024.
