Mr. Tran Van Quan (Co Le commune, Ninh Binh) is known by the nickname "Quan Nam Dinh" - a KOL in Ninh Binh province. The meaning of the name "Quan Nam Dinh" is taken by him from the name combined with the old Nam Dinh province (established before the merger of the province) to be proud of the land where he was born and raised.
Mr. Quan shared that since high school, he has had a hobby of filming and taking photos. In 2022, Mr. Quan started filming personal experiences and videos about landmarks right in the commune to facilitate travel.
Later, when he was supported by everyone, he began to expand his scope further to communes in the district. Currently, Mr. Quan said he is ready to go anywhere in the old Nam Dinh province to film videos and spread the beauty of his homeland.
“Because I have my main job, I often take advantage of weekends or free time to experience and combine filming videos. Both to save memories and to want more people to know about my homeland,” Mr. Quan said.
Up to now, Mr. Quan has made over 500 videos. Most of the videos have views from 50,000 to 300,000. In particular, Mr. Quan has one video that has reached over 2.6 million views and some videos over 1 million views.
According to Mr. Quan, each video is an event, a cultural feature and new knowledge for himself as well as viewers, especially those from other provinces and far from home. Reading people's comments, Mr. Quan feels even more meaningful about what he is doing.
Through my small videos, I am very happy to have contributed my efforts to preserve familiar images, the simple beauty of my homeland that we sometimes unintentionally forget in the hurried pace of life," Mr. Quan confided.
The young man said that in the early days when filming the video, he only focused on the issues of rural markets, hometown cuisine, space, and church culture. Later, Mr. Quan expanded to other fields such as festivals, the beauty of landmarks, craft villages, and provincial events so that people have more knowledge...
Mr. Quan's initial means of filming and photography was just a smartphone. Later, the young man boldly invested in cameras and flycams to record beautiful, realistic, and vivid footage to convey to everyone.
Mr. Quan's videos have made a great contribution to promoting the image of his homeland. In 2025, Mr. Quan was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Co Le commune (Ninh Binh) for his contributions to his homeland as well as being recognized as a typical citizen of the locality.
Messing to everyone, Mr. Quan hopes that the image of his homeland will always live in his heart no matter where it is. At the same time, Mr. Quan also hopes that many young people will join hands to spread the beauty of their homeland to friends across the country in more creative and modern ways.
