On April 3, the People's Committee of the Con Dao Special Zone said that the Special Zone Public Service Supply Center has received, managed and operated a beach sanitation sand screening machine sponsored by businesses in Ho Chi Minh City, ensuring effectiveness in environmental protection in the locality.
This is a specialized equipment consisting of two main parts: a tractor and a sieve system, with a cleaning width of up to 1.8m, and a depth of about 15cm; a 190-liter waste container, designed with seawater corrosion-resistant steel material, ensuring durability and long-term use efficiency in the coastal environment.
Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Dao Special Zone - said that the specific conditions of Con Dao are that the archipelago is far from the mainland, and is frequently affected by drifting ocean waste, so the commissioning of beach sand screening machines is of great significance, contributing to improving the efficiency of beach cleaning, reducing environmental pollution and preserving the image of Con Dao as a green and friendly tourist destination.
