A solar storm is approaching Earth, which could cause many dangers, accompanied by aurora - a phenomenon that many tourists around the world are waiting for.

According to the US Space Weather Center (SWPC), a severe from level G4 storm is approaching Earth after the Sun experienced a severe crust last weekend. A storm warning has been issued, with the impact forecast to last until at least June 3.

The SWPC Center under the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecasts that this CME will collide with Earth late on June 1 (US time), initially causing a storm from level G3 (strength), and quickly reach level G4 (serious) on June 2.

In some extreme scenarios, the intensity of storms could reach level G5 - the long-term level, which was only recorded in rare events such as the Carrington event in 1859.

In addition to negative impacts, the storm also created a beautiful aurora, which was forecast to appear on the evening of June 2 and 3 in 13 US states, including Washington, northern Idaho, Montana, northeastern Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

On the evening of June 3, visitors can "hunt" for the aurora at the above locations. The ideal time to observe is from 10pm to 2am on June 4 local time.

NOAA experts predict clear sky, the perfect conditions for observing auroras in the night sky.

The aurora can also be seen in the north of the UK, Europe and Australia. However, according to the British Meteorological Office ( Met Office), the country's aurora activities will gradually limit to Northern Ireland and Scotland.

On the other hand, scientists warn that strong storms often contain the risk of paralyzing modern technology infrastructure.

SWPC warns that storms from level G4 can cause many dangerous impacts such as: Disruption of the GPS positioning system, affecting areas highly dependent on location such as aviation, maritime and agriculture; Large-scale loss of telecommunications and satellite television signals; Power grid impacts, especially in areas near the poles, with the risk of overload or local power outages...

SWPC's announcement also emphasizes that, although the probability of CME touching the Earth is very high, there is still some uncertainty about the exact time and direction of impact.
