An Lao District (Hai Phong) has just opened the Traditional Festival of the Year of the Snake Mountain 2025.
Elephant Mountain is a place associated with the tradition of fighting to preserve the country and gain national independence of the army and people of An Lao. This place is not only associated with important relics such as the temple of General Le Chan, Long Hoa pagoda, Chi Lai communal house - pagoda, but also carries the remains of a glorious historical period, reflecting part of the Mac Dynasty's mountain paintings. Elephant Mountain was ranked by the State as a National Historical Site in 1962, becoming one of the earliest recognized monuments in Hai Phong city.
The Elephant Mountain Festival is held to honor and commemorate the national heroes and many generations of An Lao people who have fought, protected and joined hands to build this land. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for An Lao to introduce to visitors from near and far the potential of its homeland.

The traditional Elephant Mountain Festival takes place from February 14 to 16 (ie January 17 to 19, At Ty year). Within the framework of the festival, An Lao district organizes many unique cultural, artistic and sports activities such as the Cultural, artistic and folk dance exchange program, Music and dance festival, campfire, open men's volleyball tournament, women's tug of war championship, stick pushing competition. Traditional games are also organized by the locality during festival days such as playing Chinese chess, playing tarpaulins, fairies, blindfolded duck catching, etc.
