On the morning of January 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province coordinated with the People's Committee of Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat to hold a press conference to inform about the organization of the Mai Anh Dao Festival - Da Lat Spring 2026.
This is the first apricot blossom festival of Lam Dong province after merging the three provinces of Lam Dong - Binh Thuan - Dak Nong.
The 2026 Da Lat Cherry Blossom Festival is chaired by the People's Committee of Xuan Huong ward, in coordination with the People's Committees of Lam Vien - Da Lat, Xuan Truong - Da Lat, Lang Biang - Da Lat and Cam Ly - Da Lat wards, with the theme "Da Lat Cherry Blossoms - Gathering Spring Colors".
The festival aims to honor the unique beauty of cherry blossoms - a cultural symbol associated with the memories and emotions of many generations of Da Lat people.
At the press conference, journalists and reporters from central and local press agencies based in Lam Dong province contributed many opinions to the organization of the Festival.
In which, it is proposed to build tours to guide people and tourists to experience cherry blossom viewing spots; have solutions for cherry blossoms in the central area to bloom on time for the festival; arrange a team of tour guides who understand cherry blossoms to serve tourists.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Xuan Thao - Vice Chairwoman of Xuan Huong Ward People's Committee - Da Lat, the Festival is built according to a series of integrated experiential events, harmoniously combining tourism, culture, art and local community life.
Within the framework of the Mai Anh Dao Festival - Da Lat Spring 2026, people and tourists will experience many activities such as free coffee to admire flowers, archery, horse riding; and at the same time visit and shop for local specialties such as agricultural products, OCOP products, tea, coffee, wine and souvenirs bearing Da Lat identity.
Through the festival, we want to depict cherry blossoms as a symbol of Da Lat - a place where natural beauty blends with the depth of culture, history and people, thereby arousing the pride of local people and creating attraction for tourists every spring. The organizing committee is completing a digital map to synthesize and introduce the most beautiful cherry blossom locations to serve people and tourists," Ms. Thao emphasized.
According to the Organizing Committee, instead of 10 days as initially planned, the Mai Anh Dao Festival - Da Lat Spring 2026 will last 20 days, from January 16 to February 5, 2026.
In addition to the opening art program at 7 pm on January 16, the festival also has tree planting activities with the theme "Radiant spring of Da Lat with cherry blossoms" on Bich Cau peninsula.
