According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An - Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, culinary tourism is known as one of the types of tourism that can be said to have the strongest growth in the tourism industry in general.
According to many international studies, culinary tourism is currently one of the types with strong growth rates, reaching more than 20% per year. This is also considered an effective method to promote the culture, people and heritage of a locality.
Therefore, Da Nang tourism industry also pays special attention to developing and promoting culinary tourism to spread the city's image to domestic and foreign tourists," Ms. An said.
According to Ms. An, the development of culinary tourism is not only limited to introducing dishes but also aims to tell cultural, historical and local identity stories through each tourist's experience.

At the Da Nang Food Tour Festival, many typical dishes of Quang region such as Quang noodles, banh trang cuon thit heo, bun mam, be thui Cau Mong or folk cakes are introduced along with a performance space, processing experience and culinary cultural exchange.
