Speaking at the Festival, Mr. Chang Ho-seung - Deputy Ambassador and Consul General - Korean Embassy in Vietnam said that the Vietnam - Korea Festival held in Da Nang to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries has entered its 4th year.
This is the first Vietnam - Korea Festival event held in the new Da Nang City. Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, the two countries of Korea and Vietnam have achieved remarkable achievements in many fields, becoming each other's third largest trading partner in just one generation and developing into the most trusted and mutually beneficial cooperation partners.
Vietnam is the ASEAN country most visited by Koreans, currently with about 500,000 people and about 100,000 multicultural families living in both countries, which has become a solid bridge between the two countries.
Da Nang is one of the most favorite cities of Koreans, an important cooperation center, where many Koreans visit and participate in activities.

According to Mr. Chang Ho-seung, in 2024, it is estimated that there will be about 1.8 million Korean tourists, accounting for 40% of foreign tourists to Da Nang, the number of Korean tourists to Da Nang is continuing to increase steadily in 2025.
Korean enterprises are also actively investing in Da Nang city, with about 335 investment projects with a total investment capital of about 2.2 billion USD as of 2024.
Notably, since July 1 this year, Da Nang City has been merged into Quang Nam Province, currently the largest city in Vietnam with a population of about 3 million people.
Da Nang is expected to become a key growth driver for Vietnam in many fields such as economy, trade, logistics and tourism.
To support the new move of Da Nang City, local Korean authorities such as Gurye District, Uiwang City, Yeongam District, Pyeongtaek City, Daegu City and Muju District attended this year's festival.
The Embassy of Korea in Vietnam and the Consulate General of Korea in Da Nang will continue to support to ensure friendly cooperation between local governments of the two countries, becoming a more solid foundation for the development of Korea - Vietnam cooperation.
