In the early days of the 4-day New Year holiday, the beaches in Phan Thiet (Lam Dong province) attract many tourists to have fun, swim and watch the sunset as a meaningful experience to start the new year.

In the "set of sunset slope" area (Phu Thuy ward), when the sun gradually sets, the sunset lights cover the sea surface yellow, creating a brilliant scene. Crowds stand along the slope to take photos, recording the first moments of the year.
Due to the large number of visitors, many young people have to check-in in beautiful corners to take pictures of the entire slope along with the sea and sunset behind. Many cars and motorbikes with Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai license plates... also flocked to this area.

At the same time, Da Ong Dia beach also welcomed a large number of visitors.
Unlike the bustling atmosphere on the sunset slope, many tourists - mainly families - choose to relax on the beach, catch the sea breeze and watch the sunset in the airy space.

Mr. Nguyen Tam, a water motorbike rental service provider here, said that since the beginning of the afternoon, the number of customers has increased rapidly.
The morning and noon are quite deserted, but from about 3 pm onwards, many tourists go to the beach. Many people want to both watch the sunset and experience water motorbikes," he said.

Lao Dong's records show that not only domestic tourists, but also many international tourists are joining the coastal crowd.
On Nguyen Dinh Chieu street (Mui Ne ward), foreign tourists leisurely stroll and visit seafood stalls along the road.
According to tourism units, the sharp increase in the number of visitors on the first day of the holiday shows Phan Thiet's great attraction to short-day trips.
The bustling and vibrant atmosphere at the beginning of the year creates expectations that the local tourism industry will continue to maintain its growth momentum in the following peak periods.

In 2026, Lam Dong tourism set a target of welcoming more than 25 million visitors for sightseeing and resorts.
Previously, in 2025, tourism activities in Lam Dong recovered strongly, welcoming 20.7 million visitors, an increase of 18.1% compared to the same period, exceeding the plan by 115%.
Of which, there were 1.287 million international visitors, an increase of nearly 40%. Revenue from tourism is estimated at 56,800 billion VND.
