On June 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, the TikTok platform and units officially launched the "Touching Heritage - Urban Memories" program series. This is a large-scale livestream program to promote culture, heritage and promote sustainable tourism, and at the same time, open up a new approach in bringing heritage closer to the young community.
In June and July 2026, the program officially kicks off in 3 wards including Saigon, Ben Thanh and Cho Lon.

At the press conference announcing the campaign "Touching Heritage - Urban Memories", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports said that when mentioning a locality, besides beautiful scenery or natural resources, tourists will definitely remember typical dishes and eateries. The program contributes to introducing unique features associated with people's lives, thereby defining 3 localities expected to be implemented: Saigon, Ben Thanh and Cho Lon wards - the core core area of Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Hoi added that, in addition to the 3 localities selected in this program, the city and accompanying units will continue to pilot in 3 suburban communes, thereby gradually building a panoramic picture of Ho Chi Minh City. On that basis, the city will develop a multi-platform communication plan to serve the socio-economic development goals of 168 wards, communes and special zones in the area.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, "Touching Heritage - Urban Memories" is a journey of discovery broadcast live, so that each viewer can be proud of the vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for the younger generation to access and explore culture in a new and closer way.
