The Vietnamese Festival in Kanagawa is organized annually by the Kanagawa Prefectural Government in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan since 2015. The event includes many cultural exchange activities, art performances, tourism promotion, trade and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Japan.
Within the framework of the festival, the Da Nang delegation introduced city tourism at the Vietnam Tourism Conference. The delegation also organized a booth to provide information about Hoi An and Da Nang tourism to people, tourists and the Vietnamese community in Kanagawa.
According to the introduction, in the first 7 months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed nearly 12.1 million overnight visitors, an increase of 24.8% compared to the same period. International visitors reached more than 6 million, an increase of 28.1%. Japanese visitors alone exceeded 225,000.
Da Nang identifies Japan as one of the key tourism markets. The city will continue to promote tourism, connecting travel businesses, airlines and Japanese partners.
This activity contributes to strengthening cultural diplomacy, people-to-people exchanges and expanding cooperation between Da Nang, Hoi An and Kanagawa Prefecture in the fields of culture, heritage conservation and tourism.
