Dak Lak - The Buon Ma Thuot Robusta Half Marathon VTV8 2026 is expected to attract about 5,000 participants and contribute to stimulating local tourism.

On June 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province informed that the Buon Ma Thuot Robusta Half Marathon VTV8 2026 is attracting great attention from the sports-loving community nationwide with about 5,000 athletes registered to participate.

The event is not only a large-scale sports playground but is also expected to contribute to promoting the image, culture and tourism of Dak Lak to a large number of domestic and international tourists.

According to the Organizing Committee, before the opening ceremony, about 5,000 athletes registered to compete in the 5km, 10km and 21km distances.

Notably, about 36% of participating athletes come from provinces and cities outside of Dak Lak, equivalent to nearly 1,800 out-of-province athletes. With the characteristics of amateur running races combined with travel experiences, many athletes often go with family, friends and relatives.

The Organizing Committee estimates that the event will attract an additional 3,600 to 5,400 out-of-province visitors to Dak Lak during the weekend of the race, contributing to creating a positive effect for accommodation, cuisine, transportation, tourism and local services.

Through the race, the image of Buon Ma Thuot - Vietnam's coffee capital will be widely promoted, spreading the spirit of healthy living, dynamism and introducing to tourists the cultural values, people and unique coffee space of Dak Lak.

With the message "Running in the Coffee Capital", the race brings athletes and tourists the opportunity to experience a youthful, friendly and unique Buon Ma Thuot. This is also an opportunity for sports, tourism, culture and coffee to blend together, creating an emotional community event.

According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the Buon Ma Thuot Robusta Half Marathon VTV8 2026 will take place at 4:30 PM on June 20, 2026. Official competition activities will be held from 3:30 AM to 7:30 AM on June 21, 2026 with three distances including 5km, 10km and 21km.
