On May 27, Quang Binh University said that it had just coordinated with Tan Trao University to organize a scientific conference with the theme "Sustainable tourism development based on cultural and natural values in the North Central and Northern Midlands and Mountains regions".
The workshop aims to promote the search for sustainable tourism development solutions in the context that many localities are moving towards a green growth model, linking tourism development with cultural and natural resource conservation.
The North Central Coast and Northern Midlands and Mountains regions possess many unique values in natural landscapes, history, ethnic culture and diverse ecosystems. However, this region is also facing many challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, cultural commercialization and urbanization pressure.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing many contents related to assessing the potential, advantages and cultural and natural values of localities associated with tourism development. At the same time, analyzing the current situation of tourism development, identifying difficulties and limitations in cultural preservation, environmental protection and community livelihood development.
Many presentations also proposed models of green tourism, community tourism, ecotourism, cultural experience tourism associated with digital transformation and socio-economic development in the coming time.
