On November 7, the Ben Dam Port Management Board (specifically Con Dao area, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the Sheng Li ship, which used to be a check-in spot attracting young people in the Ben Dam area, had been towed out of the area.
The Sheng Li ship is 52 m long; 8.5 m wide; dry: 4.3 m; built in 2002; total weight of 1,200 tons... After many years of drifting and abandonment, the ship's remains have rusted, but it attracts tourists thanks to its magical, pristine beauty in the blue sea.

The image of a boat lying on a sand beach in Con Dao when the tide recedes quickly spread on social networks, becoming a favorite destination for many tourists.
This ship has been successfully auctioned by the authorities; it is only used for scrap collection, not converted for use, not used for other purposes. The winning bidder mobilized specialized vehicles to pull the ship's remains to another anchorage area, waiting for favorable weather to pull it away.
In previous years, the Sheng Li ship drifted freely, was pulled back by the authorities, and anchored in Con Dao waiting to be handled. In August 2024, the ship was moved to anchor at the storm shelter in Con Dao district (Ben Dam port area). After that, the authorities developed a plan to auction the shipwreck.
In addition, there are also businesses that have proposed sinking this ship to create a unique high-class diving spot in Con Dao, but this option was not approved.
