In particular, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), this place becomes a "red address" with many interesting and meaningful activities attracting visitors.

Mr. Pham Hung Vi (born in 1947, residing in Thanh Oai, Hanoi) and a group of Truong Son veterans visited the Vietnam Military History Museum on December 22.

Mr. Vi, a veteran who participated in the resistance war against the US, emotionally shared: “At the Museum, we were extremely moved to see the artifacts and people through historical films, thereby reviving the heroic memories of the past.

This is a traditional educational address for the younger generation, so that future generations can better understand the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations in the struggle for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland.

Talking to Lao Dong, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum said that not only veterans, agencies and units in the industry, the Museum also welcomes a large number of visitors who are young people of school age, students, households, agencies and units outside the military industry and even foreign visitors to visit and explore.

The museum also organized many meaningful activities to celebrate the special anniversary. On the evening of December 21, 2024, the political art program "The Historical Path" took place on the main stage of the museum, with the content recreating the 80-year journey of the bold and glorious Vietnam People's Army. Through three parts: "The Path of Independence", "The Path of Unification", and "The Path to the New Era", the audience relived important cultural and historical imprints.

80 most favorite works representing the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army were displayed and shown on stage as a special performance of the program "The Path of History", expressing the pure love and complete faith of the country's future young citizens for Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Previously, from November 15, the Museum opened the National Fine Arts Exhibition on the theme "Armed Forces - Revolutionary War" with more than 200 typical paintings, graphics, and sculptures by 193 painters and sculptors created in the period 2019-2024.

The works reflect the tradition of defending the country through two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, and at the same time praise the spirit of patriotism, readiness to fight and sacrifice to protect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.
