On the evening of September 2nd, Hanoi organized fireworks displays at 4 locations with 5 battlefields to celebrate the 81st National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
People and tourists going to watch fireworks should proactively choose the viewing location and parking spot before moving to be convenient, limit congestion and avoid overload in central areas.
Fireworks display sites include:
Site No. 1: In front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Editorial Office (44 Le Thai To), Hoan Kiem ward.
Site No. 2: In front of Hanoi Post Office, Hoan Kiem ward.
Battle location number 3: At Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung ward.
Site No. 4: F1 race track, National Sports Complex, Tu Liem ward.
Site No. 5: At Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho ward.
Fireworks display time is from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM.
According to the plan of the Hanoi People's Committee, the Hanoi Department of Construction proposed that relevant units arrange forces to park vehicles for free in many areas, serving people and tourists during the National Day of September 2nd. Therefore, tourists can find free parking locations when going to watch flower displays.
If you choose the Hoan Kiem Lake area to watch fireworks, people and tourists can park their cars for free at temporary parking spots on the streets of Ngo Quyen street (section from Tong Dan intersection to Hai Ba Trung intersection), Ly Thai To, Hai Ba Trung and Nguyen Huu Huan.
In addition, temporary parking spots are also arranged on the roads of Le Phung Hieu, Tran Nguyen Han, Hang Trong and Nha Tho streets.
In case of watching fireworks at Thong Nhat Park, people and tourists can park their cars for free right in the park grounds.
People and tourists should pre-determine the location to watch fireworks and the parking spot to be proactive about the route. You can use Google Maps to check the distance from the parking spot to the fireworks viewing area, choose a suitable route and limit walking too far.
Due to the expected large number of people flocking to the fireworks display locations, people should come early to find a parking spot and a convenient viewing location. If there is no free parking spot near the fireworks viewing area, you should choose reputable vehicle parking spots with signs and clear service prices.
Tourists need to follow the instructions of functional forces, not stop or park vehicles on prohibited roads or restricted areas. At the same time, they need to proactively preserve personal belongings, avoiding jostling in crowded areas.
