On April 29, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province held the Inauguration Ceremony of the Works Headquarters and Exhibition House of Xeo Quit Relic Site. This is a project to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026).

The project started construction on February 25, 2025, with a scale of class III civil works belonging to group C project, total construction land area of 9,872 m2. The project includes 05 main items: Display house, office building, stele symbol, parking garage and technical infrastructure; total investment is more than 44 billion VND, from the state budget capital.
The total number of original artifacts currently on display at the Exhibition House is 155 artifacts. Including working equipment, serving the leadership and activities of the Provincial Party Committee such as: typewriters, pens, notebooks, radios, tables and chairs, hammocks, parachutes, hats, flashlights, teacups...; typical memorabilia and artifacts in the revolutionary activities at Xeo Quit Base of Party Secretaries, Deputy Party Secretaries, Standing Committee members of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Party Committee members, cadres and soldiers of the Provincial Party Committee agency.

The exhibition house includes 1 solemn pavilion and 3 specialized topics: Natural characteristics of Xeo Quit Relic Site; Kien Phong and Sa Dec Provincial Party Committees leading the resistance war against the US for national salvation; Preserving - Promoting the value of relics during the period of building socialism.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan emphasized that the project not only contributes to collecting, preserving and displaying precious historical artifacts, but is also a place to educate tradition, foster patriotism, and the morality of "drinking water, remembering the source" for the young generation.
In particular, the completion of infrastructure and raising the value of displays are expected to create more attractive "touch points" in the journey to explore Dong Thap, extending stay time and increasing tourist spending.

From the perspective of economic development, Xeo Quit Relic Area is oriented to become a highlight in the province's eco-historical tourism product chain, connecting with craft villages, culinary services, river and water experiences and nearby destinations.
Thereby, not only contributing to diversifying tourism products, but also opening up opportunities to create jobs and increase income for local people through service, trade, transportation, accommodation and sales of typical products.
The new project also helps improve reception capacity, organize sightseeing, study, and research activities, and gradually professionalize relic exploitation activities associated with sustainable tourism development.
This is considered one of the important solutions for Dong Thap to both preserve historical values and transform "memory assets" into resources for socio-economic development.

To make the project effective in the long term, provincial leaders proposed that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Relic Management Board continue to promote the collection and supplementation of artifacts and historical documents; and at the same time research and develop more experiential products and thematic visit programs, contributing to increasing the attraction and spreading the value of relics to a large number of people and domestic and foreign tourists.
It is known that Xeo Quit Relic Site was the Resistance Base of the Kien Phong Provincial Party Committee (now Dong Thap) in the 1960s-1975s. On April 9, 1992, the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) recognized it as a National Historical and Cultural Relic.
