Over the past few days, the weather in Hue has been cold and rainy, with social media posting images of tourists braving the cold rain to visit Hue monuments. Some people say that buying tickets to visit Hue monuments when coming to this ancient capital is right, but one should not ignore the weather because it can affect one's health.
When asked, some tourists said that because they had bought tickets to visit Hue monuments but due to unfavorable weather, they wanted to contact to see if they could get a refund but still did not know how.
Regarding the above issue, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that according to current regulations approved by the People's Council of Thua Thien Hue province, purchased tickets cannot be exchanged or returned (in case of direct purchase at the ticket counter), and tickets are only valid within 48 hours.
For visitors who buy tickets online (single tickets or by route), the time will only be counted when the ticket is activated (ie the ticket has been swiped at the ticket control points).
The Hue Monuments Conservation Center notes that before buying tickets to visit Hue monuments, people and tourists should monitor the weather, especially cold rain, to ensure their health as well as the convenience of their trip.
"We are always ready to support and answer any questions for people and tourists when visiting the Hue Monuments Complex. For any support needs, visitors can contact the hotline: 0935.966.201", the leader of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center informed.
From January 1, 2025, the center will sell tickets to visit the Mausoleum of King Duc Duc for 50,000 VND/time (free for children under 12 years old). This is a project that has just been restored to its original state after a long period of deterioration and is currently open for free.
In addition, this regulation also adjusts the days of free opening of relics belonging to the Hue Monuments Complex for domestic tourists.
Specifically, from January 1, 2025, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center will open Hue monuments for free to Vietnamese people on the following specific days: Lunar New Year is free for one day (the first day of the lunar calendar).
Free admission on Thua Thien Hue Liberation Day (March 26), August Revolution Day (August 19), National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2) and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
Unlike previous years, Hue reduced two days of free tickets on the occasion of Lunar New Year (2nd and 3rd day of Lunar calendar) and added two days of free tickets on holidays during the year (August Revolution Day, August 19 and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, November 23).
