Do Son Sea Tourism Area project will have a series of high-class resort projects

Hai Phong - The Department of Construction has just submitted a report to the City People's Committee on the architectural plan of works under the Do Son Sea Tourism Area Project.

The Do Son Sea Tourism Area project has a scale of about 7.75 ha, deployed in the tourist center area of Do Son Zone 2. This is an area that has developed many accommodation establishments, resort services, and entertainment through many stages.

The technical and social infrastructure systems have basically been invested but are not synchronized, many projects are degraded, and do not meet the requirements of high-quality tourism development.

Coastal and hilly landscape space has great natural value but has not been effectively organized and exploited. Tourism activities are mainly seasonal, products are monotonous, attraction and competitiveness are still limited due to available potential.

The project's objective is to build a high-class, modern resort complex by closely linking heritage preservation (Bao Dai Palace) and tourism urban development.

Regarding the architectural plan, it includes 2 sub-zones. Sub-zone 1 - Heritage and Resort Axis will preserve the original state of King Bao Dai's Palace and surrounding ecological space; renovate and embellish 6 ancient French villas, forming a green landscape space; build 1 villa and a 2-story hotel according to the natural terrain; develop 7 service blocks, forming a pedestrian street introducing local specialties.

Sub-area 2 - Sea and Commercial Axis: Building a 20-story hotel and a conference center to serve events; forming a resort complex including 2 20-story hotel blocks facing the sea; developing a 3-story coastal commercial center and chain of restaurants; building a 20-story above-ground hotel and 2 symbolic basements.

The architectural plan is consistent with the General Plan of Hai Phong city to 2040, vision to 2050 and the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of the Do Son area.

The design is inspired by the image of sea waves, using soft curves combined with large glass walls to create an open space towards the Gulf of Tonkin. At the same time, focus on green architectural solutions such as hanging gardens in the West, sunshade frames to save energy and create sustainable green architecture.

The Department of Construction is currently continuing to coordinate with the People's Committee of Do Son ward and the investor to appraise and approve the detailed planning project at a scale of 1/500 according to regulations. At the same time, guide the completion of technical design documents according to the reported plan.
