Forecast of when cold air will intensify

It is forecast that cold air will increase in the North in the last days of November, with the lowest temperature around 8 degrees Celsius.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in late November and early December 2024, cold air may be more active than the average of many years during the same period.

Meteorological experts predict that from November 25 and 27, there will be two cold air waves moving into the North.

The temperature in the northern mountainous region will drop below 10 degrees Celsius, with some places on high mountains reaching 8 degrees Celsius. The central region will have an average temperature of about 19-20 degrees Celsius.

Therefore, residents and tourists in areas affected by cold air need to prepare suitable warm clothing, especially when going out in the early morning and late evening.

The area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen will have scattered rain for many days, from now until November 28.

Meanwhile, storms and tropical depressions in the East Sea and affecting Vietnam's mainland between November 21 and December 20 are likely to be approximately at the average level of many years during the same period.

In the next few days, the North and Thanh Hoa will have some rain in the next few days. On November 23, the afternoon will be sunny. At night and early morning, it will be cold.

The area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen has moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Khanh Hoa provinces: scattered showers and thunderstorms, from the night of November 25 there will be rain, showers, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Other areas: scattered showers and thunderstorms; the Central Highlands region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms on the night of November 22 and the day of November 23. Residents and tourists should be on guard against thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

From the night of November 24 to December 2, the North and North Central regions will have rain in some places, especially from November 25 to the morning of November 26, there will be scattered rain.

Around the night of November 26-28, the weather turns cold; from November 29, the night and morning are cold.

The area from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh has rain, showers, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Other areas have scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
