According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 9 has weakened into a tropical depression. At 7 p.m., the center of the tropical depression was located at about 18.3 degrees North latitude; 112.1 degrees East longitude, in the western sea of the North East Sea, about 180km north of Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 7 (50-61km/h), gusting to level 9. Moving southwest, speed about 20km/h.
The Southern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that in the last 10 days of November, there will be about 2-3 cold air intensifications moving south. The low pressure trough is active and tends to lift its axis slightly to the north with the possibility of low pressure areas appearing in the southern East Sea and affecting the weather in coastal areas and mainland of the South.
Around November 20-21, the cold air will begin to affect the weather in the South and Ho Chi Minh City. This is likely to be the strongest impact of cold air on the weather in the South and Ho Chi Minh City since the beginning of the Northeast monsoon season.
