According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the Central Highlands and the South will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-80mm, locally over 120mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and night).

The North and Central Central regions have rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15-40mm, locally over 80mm. The South Central region has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 80mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Floods on the Red River in Hanoi will fall below level 2; on the Luc Nam River fall below level 3; on the Cau River at Dap Cau, the Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong, the Luc Nam River at Luc Nam, and the Hoang Long River at Ben De will continue to fall but remain above level 3.

Floods on Cau River, Thuong River and Hoang Long River continue to decrease but remain above level 3; Luc Nam River and Thai Binh River continue to decrease but remain above level 2; Red River in Hanoi will fall below level 1.

The process of flood drainage and reduction on the Red River system is likely to be slow, so flooding will continue for many days in low-lying areas, low-lying areas along the river, and alluvial areas outside the main dike in the following provinces/cities: Hanoi, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Hai Duong.

Residents and tourists should note that high flood levels lasting for many days can cause riverbank dykes to overflow, and landslides and embankments can seriously affect vulnerable locations along rivers in the following provinces/cities: Hanoi, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh. There is a risk of landslides on steep slopes in the mountainous areas of the North.
