The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that the North will have sunny and clear weather, favorable for recreational activities during the National Day holiday on September 2. However, due to the influence of the humid Southeast monsoon, the North will still have showers and thunderstorms at night in some places.
The Northeast, Thanh Hoa and South Central regions have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, locally over 60mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. From September 3, heavy rain will gradually decrease.
From the morning of September 1 to September 3, the Central Highlands and the South will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 40-80mm, locally over 120mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
Meanwhile, in the Central region, a new form of rain is forming, under the influence of the tropical convergence zone with an axis of 10 to 13 degrees, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh as well as the southern area from Binh Dinh to Binh Thuan in the evening will have showers and thunderstorms.
To facilitate your visit to tourist destinations during the National Day holiday on September 2, visitors should pay attention to weather forecast updates, prepare necessary rain or sun protection items, limit travel in adverse weather conditions and choose suitable and safe destinations.
