Khanh Hoa tourism accelerates, revenue in 2 months reaches nearly 14,000 billion VND

Khanh Hoa - In the first 2 months of 2026, tourism recorded positive growth in both visitor volume and revenue, especially in the international visitor segment.

On March 3, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, in February 2026, accommodation establishments in the area served about 951,000 visitors, an increase of 30.7% compared to the same period last year.

Of which, international visitors are estimated at 371,000, an increase of 41%; domestic visitors are estimated at 580,000, an increase of 24.8%. Total revenue from tourism activities in February is estimated at 7,570.7 billion VND, an increase of 45.2% compared to the same period in 2025.

Accumulated in the first 2 months of 2026, the whole province welcomed about 1.7 million overnight visitors, an increase of 17.2% compared to the same period. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 741,825, an increase of 29.2%; domestic visitors are estimated at about 1 million, an increase of 9.9%.

Total tourism revenue in the first 2 months of the year is estimated at 13,915 billion VND, an increase of 25.2% compared to the same period, showing the recovery momentum and sustainable growth of the local tourism industry.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that in February 2026, the Provincial People's Committee approved the Khanh Hoa Provincial Tourism Development Strategy for the period 2025 - 2030, with orientations to 2045.

In March 2026, the Department will focus on developing a draft plan to implement the strategy; advising on the development of a Resolution stipulating a number of policies to support tourism development in the province in the period 2026 - 2030. At the same time, continue to complete the draft adjustment of regulations on coordination in managing travel service business activities serving international cruise tourists.

According to the Department's leaders, the completion of mechanisms, policies and coordination regulations will contribute to improving competitiveness and attracting more international visitors, especially the seafood market - a potential segment of Khanh Hoa.
