In November 2024, Khanh Hoa province welcomed about 560,000 arrivals, an increase of 32.7% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 340,000, an increase of 54.9%; domestic visitors are estimated at 220,000, an increase of 8.6% over the same period. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 2,500 billion VND.
According to the Department of Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, in the first 11 months of 2024, the whole province welcomed 10.1 million visitors, an increase of 53.8% over the same period in 2023 (exceeding the 2024 plan by 12.3%).
Of which, there were more than 4.2 million international visitors, up 125% over the same period (exceeding 41% of the plan); 5.9 million domestic visitors, up 25.3% over the same period (reaching 98% of the 2024 plan). Average room occupancy rate reached more than 58.9%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 48,902 billion VND, up 61.5% over the same period.
In recent times, the tourism industry of Khanh Hoa province has stepped up promotion activities, organized many major events to attract tourists, and airlines have opened many international flights from Korea, China, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. to Khanh Hoa.
2024 is also the milestone year of the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 (EGN 2024) held for the first time in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. The event is carefully invested in the performance content of 4 competing teams from Korea, France, China and UAE, using professional, colorful performance techniques with the most advanced equipment (drone) technology.
The EGN 2024 program was a great success, with 2 Guinness World Records set: the world's largest light show of wonders and the world's largest light show of Vietnamese cultural symbols - Lac birds, contributing to increasing the number of Guinness records set in Vietnam, where 15 records have been recorded in the past 20 years.
