Da Nang - Tourism activities continue to grow strongly, a bright spot in the city's economic development.

According to the General Statistics Office, revenue from accommodation and catering services in September 2024 is estimated at VND 2,421.2 billion. In the third quarter of 2024, revenue from accommodation and catering services is estimated at VND 7,674.7 billion, up 11.0% over the previous quarter and up 24.5% over the same period.

Accumulated revenue from accommodation and catering services in the first 9 months of 2024 is estimated at nearly VND 20,602.7 billion, up 23.0% over the same period in 2023. Of which, revenue from the accommodation sector is estimated at VND 7,775.1 billion, up 33.5%; the catering sector is estimated at VND 12,827.6 billion, up 17.5%.

The total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in September 2024 is estimated at 977,300, an increase of 46.6% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors are estimated at nearly 349,000; domestic tourists are estimated at 628,300.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments is estimated at 8.7 million, an increase of 33.3% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international guests reached 3.2 million, an increase of 30.6%; domestic guests reached 5.5 million, an increase of 34.9% over the same period.

The number of overnight visitors in the first 9 months of 2024 is estimated at 6.5 million, an increase of 27.9%, of which international overnight visitors are estimated at nearly 3 million, an increase of 28.1%; the number of day-stay visitors is estimated at nearly 2.2 million, an increase of 52.7%, of which international day-stay visitors are estimated at 180,000, an increase of nearly 96% over the same period in 2023.

Day-stay guests continue to maintain a high growth rate compared to the same period in 2023. Through research at accommodation service establishments, this significant increase is mainly due to the sharp increase in the number of group guests and tourists visiting entertainment areas, and many guests choose to rest for a few hours at accommodation facilities during their visit.

In addition, the number of local guests staying during the day at individual accommodation establishments such as motels and inns has also increased significantly.

Travel and tourism support services are still growing well. It is estimated that in September 2024, revenue from this industry group will reach 668.6 billion VND.
