Improved tourism products not only attract domestic tourists but also attract international tourists, helping them stay longer and increase their ability to return in subsequent trips.
Ms. Tran Thi Ha, from Hanoi, said that the first time she came to Vinh Long, she was very impressed with the scenery of rivers and gardens, fresh air and the simple life of local people. Her family felt close and excited.
The female tourist's family enthusiastically participated in the artisanal pottery making experience at Mang Thit pottery village, both learning techniques and chatting with the people. This experience helps tourists understand more about local culture and the history of traditional crafts.
Enjoying fresh fruits right in the garden, admiring the garden scenery and immersing yourself in people's lives brings a real, joyful feeling. This is a memorable trip and I want to return many times," Ms. Ha added.

As for Con Chim, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Van, Head of the Community Tourism Group, said that since tourism exploitation, the island has put on a new coat. Both sides of the road are always green with flower colors, houses and arrangements are meticulously cared for.
According to Ms. Van, the number of visitors to Con Chim increases steadily every year, averaging 5-10% per year. This growth helps the community increase income, improve facilities and create a beautiful impression for domestic and international tourists.
Ms. Van added that tourists are guided by the people to experience Mekong Delta cuisine, from banh xeo, banh la, ginseng water, steamed shrimp, grilled fish, all using fresh and clean ingredients, farmed and caught on the spot, very popular with tourists.
Improving product quality, expanding markets
Mr. Duong Hoang Sum, Director of Vinh Long Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, shared with Lao Dong Newspaper that tourism is becoming the province's pride, bringing job opportunities and improving people's lives.
According to Mr. Sum, the province identifies developing tourism into an important economic sector, striving that by 2030, revenue from tourism will directly and indirectly contribute to GRDP reaching 6-7%.
Currently, local tourism contributes about 4% of GRDP, so in 2026, the province aims to welcome about 9.84 million visitors, with estimated revenue of over 9,365 billion VND, while improving the quality of products and services.
To achieve the goal, the Department proposed a solution to build tourism according to the motto "one route, three destinations", in which each locality needs to form a typical destination based on its own potential and advantages.

Focus on developing green tourism, cultural tourism and craft villages, exploiting the traditional values of the Khmer people at the Khmer Culture and Tourism Village, and at the same time combining marine tourism with wind power projects and mangrove forests.
Vinh Long area focuses on completing the Mang Thit brick and ceramic kiln project, Con Giong eco-tourism and resort area, Mekong Delta Regional Agricultural Museum combined with experimental agricultural experiences, attracting diverse visitors.
Vinh Long also develops Cu Lao Dai eco-tourism area, an eco-urban area combining commercial, entertainment and tourism services of Con Chim, in order to create rich, diverse and attractive products for domestic and international tourists," Mr. Sum added.
