On December 18, Vinh Long Tourism Association held its 1st Congress, term 2025-2030. The Congress took place in the context of merging associations, opening a new development stage for the local tourism industry.
According to the report, in recent times, the Vinh Long Tourism Association and the Ben Tre Tourism Association (before the merger) have made efforts to maintain their role as a bridge between businesses and state management agencies, gradually overcoming difficulties caused by the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.
After the merger, Vinh Long Tourism Association currently has about 200 members, operating in a large area, with many diverse types of tourism services.
The Congress acknowledged many outstanding results in tourism promotion and advertising at forums linking the Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City; forming tours, domestic and inter-regional routes; focusing on human resource training, while actively participating in social security activities.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Tourism Association for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 40 members. Mr. Tran Ba Sanh was elected to hold the position of President of the Association.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts and contributions of the Association in the past time.
According to Ms. Thanh, tourism is an important economic sector, striving to contribute 6-7% of GRDP by 2030. The Association's merger is a practical solution to realize this development goal.
In the coming period, Vinh Long tourism will develop in an integrated, multi-value direction, focusing on quality and experience. After the arrangement of administrative units, the province focuses on building green, sustainable products.
"At the same time, the Association needs to promote its representative role, protect the rights of members and be a close bridge with the government. Departments and branches must promptly remove difficulties and create conditions for businesses to operate," Ms. Thanh emphasized this content.
