Handling street vendors, creating a green - clean - beautiful space
On August 1, Mr. Nguyen Huu Que - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee issued a document requesting relevant units to urgently overcome the shortcomings and limitations at Bien Ho National Scenic Relic Area.
At the same time, localities need to implement solutions to improve landscape quality, create highlights for scenic spots to serve tourists better.
Bien Ho is a national scenic relic, and also one of the typical tourist destinations of Gia Lai province. In recent years, the relic site has been concerned with investment, restoration, and embellishment, gradually meeting the sightseeing needs of people and tourists, contributing to promoting the image, culture and natural landscape of Gia Lai.
However, through inspection, the Provincial People's Committee found that the management and exploitation of the relic site still has many limitations. Specifically, Bien Ho Commune People's Committee has not really paid due attention to the management and promotion of relic values; tourism service activities are still not synchronized, and the quality of some services does not meet requirements.
In addition, the situation of street vendors in the relic area has not been thoroughly handled; environmental sanitation and landscape work in some areas are still inadequate. These shortcomings have affected the image of the destination as well as the experiences of tourists when visiting Bien Ho.
Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requests Bien Ho Commune People's Committee to rectify the working style and service attitude of the staff; strengthen training in communication skills and cultural behavior for people working in tourism services.
Localities must also periodically review and comprehensively assess the quality of customer service; strengthen inspection of the implementation of regulations on price listing, environmental sanitation, public sanitation, security and order, and conditions for serving tourists.
Towards a friendly, memorable Bien Ho
The commune government needs to promptly detect and strictly handle violations that affect the image of the province's tourist destination; end the situation of street vendors in the relic area, and at the same time arrange and arrange business households in appropriate areas outside the relic area according to regulations.
In addition, the locality must regularly organize environmental sanitation, collect and treat waste, and maintain a green - clean - beautiful landscape.
According to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the locality is currently organizing the development of the Pleiku expanded urban master plan, which integrates the Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya National Tourist Area Plan.
Therefore, the planning for the construction of Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya National Tourist Area with a scale of about 6,300ha was stopped, although the province had previously organized an idea contest to develop this tourist area.
According to the new direction, the entire content on spatial development, tourism, technical infrastructure, landscape protection and the environment of Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya area will be integrated into the General Planning of Pleiku expanded urban area to ensure the unity and synchronization of the planning system.
The research process will closely follow the development orientation of Bien Ho - Chu Dang Ya National Tourist Area, creating a basis for implementing investment and tourism development projects in the coming time. The plan will also prioritize investment in transport infrastructure, expanding landscape protection areas, towards the goal of sustainable tourism development.
