On June 30, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has agreed on the policy of allowing the pilot implementation of water motorcycle (Jetski) and paragliding with motorized tractor (Parasailing) activities to serve sea tourism development in Quy Nhon ward for a period of 12 months.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with relevant agencies to guide the determination, appraisal and approval of water surface operating areas in accordance with regulations.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for inspecting and supervising the compliance with business conditions for tourism services, sea sports and entertainment and related specialized regulations. Based on the local assessment report, advise the Provincial People's Committee on the development of this model.
Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee is assigned to develop a project and organize implementation according to regulations; ensure safety at public beaches, entertainment areas for people and tourists; review and evaluate monthly to promptly adjust if necessary.
At the end of the pilot period, Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee must comprehensively assess the economic, social, environmental and state management efficiency; report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision on continuing to implement or replicate the model according to regulations.
The pilot program of water motorcycles and paragliding with motorcycle pulling is expected to contribute to diversifying sea tourism products in Quy Nhon, meeting the needs of tourists for experience and sports and entertainment.
