On December 19, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Point 2 Project (2-2) Nhon Ly - Cat Tien Sea Tourism Area in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. This is one of the important works and projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
This project has a scale of 40.2 hectares, a total investment capital of more than VND 2,500 billion, invested by Phu Gia Infrastructure Development Investment Joint Stock Company.

This is a relatively large commercial and tourism service project, which Gia Lai province expects to create a strong change in attracting investment and developing domestic and international tourism.
When put into operation, Nhon Ly - Cat Tien coastal tourism area will synchronously connect tourist attractions along Nhon Ly - Cat Tien coast such as: Green Paradise High-end Tourism Area (Laimian), Maia Quy Nhon Beach Resort, urban development investment project in subdivisions No. 2 and No. 4.
The east of Gia Lai will form a continuous chain of coastal tourist areas on the Phuong Mai - Nui Ba route, contributing to diversifying types of tourism services in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Que - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said: "The consensus and support of the people in the project area shows the affection and love for the homeland for the development of this land. The province is committed to always standing in the legitimate interests of the people, for the prosperous and happy life of the people when implementing socio-economic development projects".
In order for the project to be implemented and put into operation soon, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to closely coordinate with the provincial authorities, the Management Board of Ngo May Economic Zone and Commune to complete the procedures in accordance with regulations.

Gia Lai also requested investors to prioritize recruiting local workers right from the first stage of project implementation; pay attention to supporting social security work in Ngo May commune and neighboring localities, together creating a sustainable investment environment.
At the same time, investors proactively build professional promotional strategies to strongly attract domestic and foreign tourists to visit and relax in coastal tourist areas.
According to the 2025 summary report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, the locality will welcome about 12.4 million visitors in 2025, an increase of 16.7% compared to 2024. Of which, international visitors reached 125,000, an increase of nearly 10%; domestic visitors reached more than 12.27 million. Tourism revenue in 2025 is estimated at VND29,000 billion, the highest level ever in the province.
In 2026, Gia Lai was chosen to host the National Tourism Year with the theme "Congressing identity, spreading green". The event is expected to open on March 31, 2026 and last until the end of December, gathering many cultural, sports and tourism activities nationwide. In 2026, the province aims to welcome 15 million visitors, with revenue reaching 40,000 billion VND.
