The Chu Dang Ya Wild and Volcanic Flower Festival is held annually at the end of November and the beginning of the 12th lunar month, when the flowers welcome the sunlight and bloom brilliantly. This is the time when the western Gia Lai region enters the dry season, favorable for attracting tourists.
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has requested departments, branches and some communes and wards to coordinate in developing a detailed plan to organize the Chu Dang Ya Wild sunflower and volcano festival.
The communes and wards of Pleiku, Dien Hong, Hoi Phu, Thong Nhat, An Phu and Gao coordinated to display and introduce OCOP products and local specialties; at the same time, hosted and invited restaurants and hotels in the area to participate in the culinary processing performance.
The Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize booths to introduce, promote and experience specialty coffee, brocade, along with handicraft products, folk statues...

The festival is also an opportunity to introduce product stalls for young people, women starting businesses and agricultural cooperatives.
Within the framework of the festival, tourist attractions in the series of events such as: Hoan Kiem Lake - Pleiku scenic area, hundred-year-old pine shop, tea garden, Dien Hong Park, Pleiku House of labor, Pleiku Museum, Dai Doan Ket Square, Hoi Phu stream... will open to welcome visitors.
During the festival, traffic will be diverted from the tea lake sea, the hundred-year-old pine trees, Ngo Son and Chu Dang Ya fields. In particular, the hundred-year-old goods section does not allow passenger vehicles and cars to circulate during rush hour.
