On January 5th, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced that it had planned to organize the My Hoa - Khanh Hoa International Kite Surfing Tournament 2026, expected to take place from January 15th to January 17th, 2026 at My Hoa Sea Kite Surfing Area, Vinh Hai commune.
Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assessed that the event is an international sports-tourism activity, aimed at effectively exploiting the potential of marine tourism, forming new tourism products, and creating a highlight to stimulate tourism demand for the Southern Khanh Hoa region in the early 2026 period.
According to the plan, the Tournament is organized on the scale of an international mass sports tournament, expected to attract about 200 domestic and foreign athletes to participate.
The event is themed "My Hoa Kites - Soaring Across the Blue Ocean", thereby strongly promoting the image of Khanh Hoa sea, showing the spirit of integration, dynamism and sustainable development orientation of My Hoa destination.
Not only is it a sports playground, but within the framework of the Tournament, there are also many rich side activities, contributing to increasing the experience and extending the stay of tourists.
Notably, the free experience program "Kite Surfing with Experts" at kite school in My Hoa Sea Kite Surfing Area; OCOP Cultural - Culinary - Product Space with seafood and local specialty booths, cooking performances and introduction of tourism products.
In addition, the "Sea Energy" music night is organized to create a vibrant atmosphere, connect athletes, tourists and local people. In particular, the "Volunteer Saturday - Cleaning My Hoa Beach" activity, taking place at 6:30 am on January 17, 2026, aims to spread the message of protecting the marine environment, developing green and sustainable tourism.
In parallel with activities in My Hoa, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center will organize preferential tour programs, introducing a series of typical destinations of Southern Khanh Hoa such as Vinh Hy Bay, Hang Rai, Bau Truc Pottery Village, Ninh Chu beach, Dam Nai - Mui Dinh wind power field.
Through this, athletes and tourists have more opportunities to explore the natural beauty and local culture, contributing to promoting the image of Khanh Hoa tourism in general and the southern region of the province in particular.
