Hanoi promotes tourism in Tianjin, China

Hanoi introduces tourism strengths in Tianjin, promoting cooperation in tour development, connecting services and exchanging customer sources with Chinese partners.

On September 3, at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center, Hanoi city, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to open the booth and the Program to introduce Hanoi tourist destinations within the framework of the 2026 China Culture and Tourism Industry Fair.

Attending the program were Ms. Quach Truc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Beijing Department of Culture and Tourism; Mr. Do Quang Tung - Inspector of the Vietnamese Embassy in China; Mr. Nguyen Truong Son - First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in China and more than 100 delegates, representatives of management agencies, tourism businesses, travel agencies and press agencies.

With the theme "Hanoi - Cooperation and Development", the Hanoi booth with a scale of 100m2, introduces cultural values, heritage, cuisine, people and typical tourism products of the Capital.

At the program, Hanoi businesses directly met with Chinese partners, exchanged views on market needs, built products, connected services and organized two-way tourism programs.

The products introduced focus on cultural tourism, heritage, cuisine and craft villages, with routes such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel - Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam - Hoan Kiem Lake - Hanoi Old Quarter, experiencing cuisine and night streets, visiting Bat Trang craft village.

Hanoi businesses also introduce inter-route routes such as Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Ha Long, Hanoi - Da Nang - Hoi An - Hue, and connect with programs to take Vietnamese tourists to Beijing, Hangzhou, Wu Zhen and Shanghai.

On the afternoon of September 4, Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will attend the general forum of the fair and introduce Hanoi tourism. Hanoi tourism promotion videos are also screened alternately on the main screen of the Organizing Committee.

Previously, on September 1, in Beijing, Hanoi organized a program to introduce Hanoi - Vietnam tourist destinations, attracting more than 150 Chinese partners to participate in exchanging products and cooperating in bringing tourists.

China is currently Vietnam's largest international visitor market. In 2025, Vietnam welcomed more than 5.28 million Chinese visitors. In the first 7 months of 2026, this number reached about 3.08 million visitors. Hanoi also welcomed about 461,438 Chinese visitors staying in the first 7 months of the year.

Promotion activities in China are within the framework of the "Vietnam - China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026-2027" and the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Hanoi and Beijing for the period 2026-2030, aiming to expand the network of partners, increase visitor exchange and build stable tourism linkage programs between the two markets.
