According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the number of international visitors to the Capital during the holidays reached more than 248,000, including over 170,000 overnight visitors. Domestic visitors reached over 1.1 million. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at more than 5,000 billion VND, showing the strong attraction of Hanoi's destination during the peak summer.
The occupancy rate of hotels and tourist apartments averaged about 71.4%, an increase of 1.7% compared to the same period in 2025. Notably, many 4-5 star hotels recorded nearly full occupancy rates on peak days such as Fraser Suites reaching 99%, Novotel Thai Ha 98%, Muong Thanh Xa La 98%, Fortuna 97% and Grand Vista 95.8%.
In addition to the results in terms of visitor volume, accommodation establishments and tourism services in the area continue to strictly maintain requirements on security, safety, fire prevention and fighting, food safety and environmental sanitation, contributing to ensuring the quality of service for tourists during peak seasons.

During the holiday, Hanoi simultaneously organizes many large-scale cultural and tourism activities in the central and suburban areas. In the area around Hoan Kiem Lake and key destinations such as Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, many exhibition, exhibition, and traditional craft experience programs are organized, attracting a large number of people and tourists.
Notably, in the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple area, visitors can experience heritage spaces associated with traditional rituals and historical reenactment activities, contributing to renewing the cultural tourism products of the Capital.
In the suburban area, destinations such as Ba Vi, Soc Son, Son Tay, Huong Son continue to attract a large number of tourists thanks to ecotourism, resort, and community tourism products associated with local cultural experiences. Some models such as Ban Mien community tourism (Ba Vi), Thien Son Suoi Nga tourist area (Yen Bai) or craft village experience spaces recorded a sharp increase in visitors during the holidays.
The trend of shifting to the suburbs not only helps reduce pressure on the inner city area but also contributes to expanding tourism space, meeting the short-term, nature-friendly resort needs of many families.
According to statistics from key destinations during the 8 holidays (April 25 - May 2, 2026), Hanoi Zoo welcomed about 124,000 visitors; Hoa Lo Prison Relic welcomed 35,900 visitors; Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam welcomed 36,302 visitors; Thang Long Imperial Citadel welcomed 23,314 visitors; Bao Son Paradise Park welcomed 33,344 visitors; Tuan Chau Hanoi welcomed about 15,000 visitors.
This result shows that Hanoi tourism is maintaining a clear recovery momentum, with product diversity and expansion of experience space, creating an important foundation to break through in the peak summer tourism season.
