Hanoi welcomes more than 28 million visitors in the first 10 months of the year

Hanoi tourism continues to affirm its leading role in the country when recording impressive growth in the number of visitors and revenue.

According to a report by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in October 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi will reach 2.27 million, an increase of 8.9% over the same period in 2024.

Of which, international visitors reached 695,000 (up 17.8%), including 490,000 overnight visitors; domestic visitors reached 1.58 million, up 5.3% over the same period. Total revenue from tourists in October is estimated at 9.93 trillion VND, an increase of 11.9% over the previous year.

In the first 10 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi reached 28.22 million, an increase of 21.9% over the same period in 2024.

Of which, international visitors reached 6.17 million (up 23.6%), domestic visitors reached 22.05 million (up 21.4%).

Total revenue from tourists will reach VND 108.22 trillion, an increase of nearly 20% compared to 2024.

The above figures show that Hanoi tourism is on the path to a strong recovery and continues to affirm its position as a leading destination of Vietnam in the eyes of domestic and international tourists.

In October, the Hanoi Department of Tourism implemented many new product development plans, typically night-time sightseeing at Soc Temple (Soc Son) and community tourism model in Yen Xuan commune associated with ethnic minority culture.

In addition, the industry also promotes tourism promotion programs between Hanoi and the Southwestern provinces, aiming to expand the tourist market and increase regional connectivity.

According to Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism, in November, the capital's tourism industry aims to continue to promote, diversify products and improve the quality of destinations during the peak season of international visitors.
