On the morning of February 8th, at the O Quan Chuong relic (Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi City), within the framework of the Vietnamese Tet - Street Tet program, the opening ceremony of the relic gate and traditional ceremonial delegations were solemnly organized, opening a series of spring cultural activities.
The Vietnamese Tet - Street Tet program is organized by the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board in coordination with the Dinh Lang Viet Club and many cultural and artistic units and residential communities. The event vividly recreates the festival space of Kinh Ky land with processions and parades across the Ho Lake area and many old streets, attracting a large number of people and tourists to watch.
After the opening ceremony of O Quan Chuong and the parade on the morning of February 8th, the ceremonial delegations continued to move to Kim Ngan Temple (Hang Bac street, Hoan Kiem district) to perform the traditional ritual and erect the Neu tree.
The activities contribute to recreating the space of the ancient Kinh Ky festival, while honoring the unique folk cultural values in the first days of the new year.
