At Nghe Temple and Nam Hai Than Vuong Temple, the Festival Organizing Committee respectfully offered offerings according to traditional rituals. This is the opening ceremony of the final round of the Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival with the desire to pray for favorable weather, and the competitions to take place safely, excitingly and attractively.
According to the Organizing Committee of the Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival - VTV 2026, after the incense offering ceremony and flag raising ceremony, the ceremony part of the Festival continues to be implemented with the following contents: water procession ceremony taking place on September 17 at Den Nghe; gods' ceremony on the night of September 18 at Den Nghe and the central ward stadium.
Regarding the festival part, the Festival will be held on September 19th (ie August 9th of the lunar calendar) at the central stadium of Do Son ward. Sacrifice ceremony at the stadium and god worship ceremony at the communal house with the champion buffalo on September 19th; followed by the god sending ceremony on September 26th, officially ending the Do Son traditional buffalo fighting festival season - VTV 2026.
Previously, the Festival Organizing Committee held an incense offering ceremony at Hung Temple, Phu Tho province in accordance with the tradition of the festival.
