Mobilizing maximum means
According to the Plan of the Department of Construction of Hai Phong City, during the holidays of April 30, May 1 and the Red River Festival, the unit will mobilize maximum available means of transportation, ensuring capacity and quality of transportation services to meet the travel needs of the people.
In particular, in terms of road vehicles, the city currently has 640 vehicles running a fixed route, with a frequency of 335 trips/day, arranged at Vinh Niem, Vinh Bao, An Lao, Tien Lang, Do Son, Cat Ba, Kien Thuy bus stations, Thuong Ly bus stations, Hai Phong northern bus stations to provinces and cities and vice versa. Other vehicles such as buses currently have 98 vehicles operating on 10 routes; taxis have a total of 2,263 vehicles of 31 operating enterprises.
Regarding waterway vehicles, 4 transport units operate on the routes including: Ben Go - Ben Cat Vieng (7 ships), Hong Bang - Dong Ho Bay Passenger Port (4 ships); Do Son - Dau Island route 7 ships (only focusing on transporting passengers during the Dau Island Festival season in the second lunar month every year).
In addition, 210 cruise ships serve tourists from Cat Ba to tourist attractions in Cat Ba Bay and Lan Ha Bay (including 68 cruise ships with accommodation rooms). The capacity of waterway passenger transport is expected to be 45,000 passengers/day during peak times.
Regarding ferry operations, Hai Phong Waterway Traffic Assurance Joint Stock Company is currently operating Dong Bai - Cai Vieng ferry terminal with 5 ferries over 180 tons, 1 20-ton ferry operating daily from 5am - 6pm. With the current number of ferries, the total number of passengers transported is about 25,000 passengers, 3,500 cars/day.
Gia Luan - Tuan Chau ferry terminal operated by Au Lac Quang Ninh Company Limited currently operates 3 200-ton ferries with a frequency of 60 minutes/trip. During operation from 7am - 5pm, Gia Luan - Tuan Chau ferry terminal is expected to transport a maximum of about 3,600 passengers/day.

Ensuring safety for tourists during the holiday
To prevent speculation in price increases, price pressure, and arbitrary price increases, the Department of Construction requires management units of bus station, wharf, and ferry terminal to publicly post ticket prices, bus and ferry charts for each route, and transport service quality registration commitments of each transport unit.
Units have plans to reserve vehicles in case they need to increase to release passengers during peak times, avoiding congestion at the beginning of the wharf.
Road and waterway passenger transport units mobilize maximum human resources and means of transport on passenger transport routes, organize rapid vehicle rotation to promptly meet the travel needs of passengers.
It is strictly forbidden to cancel trips, carry overloaded passengers in any form, increase ticket prices for amenities to catch passengers as well as transport flammable, explosive goods, banned goods, livestock, and poultry of unknown origin.
