On March 27, the Dinh Co Festival 2026 began with ceremonial and festival activities taking place at the Dinh Co historical and cultural relic site in Long Hai commune.
The ceremony part includes traditional worship rituals that will start from March 27; and last for 4 consecutive days until March 30 (regarding February 9-12 of the lunar calendar). Rituals to invite Long Vi... take place at 6 am on March 30 (the main day of the ceremony).
The festival part will take place with a series of unique cultural, artistic and sports activities. In which, the art program to celebrate Dinh Co Festival 2026 with the theme "Long Hai, the sea calling season" is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with Long Hai Commune People's Committee, taking place from 7 pm to 10 pm on March 27 with the participation of many famous artists and singers, performing unique performances.
On March 28th, folk activities will take place such as net knitting, con throwing, stilt walking contests... And especially the stage program recreating the history of the formation of Dinh Co historical and cultural relic; the art program "Long Hai shimmering colors of the sea" for the IV time takes place from 6:30 pm to 10 pm in the stage in front of the relic area.
On March 29, the locality will organize a parade on the roads of Long Hai commune. At the same time, exciting activities such as: artistic water motorbike performances, artistic kite performances; Lion - Lion - Dragon performances will also take place continuously for 2 days, March 29-30. In addition, the last night of the Dinh Co Festival will also organize a Music Night and Don ca tai tu music to serve people and tourists visiting the festival.
According to Long Hai Commune People's Committee, Dinh Co Festival of the coastal fishing community has been formed since the late 18th century, associated with the process of reclamation and establishment of coastal villages. Over time, the festival has become a spiritual support, a place to send fishermen's trust.
This year, the locality has prepared carefully from the content to ensuring security and safety; adding many cultural and artistic activities to serve people and tourists, but still ensuring to fully preserve the festival's identity. Thereby improving the quality of organization, preserving the value of Dinh Co Festival; at the same time, creating motivation for tourism development, making Long Hai an attractive destination.
