On November 5, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Tourism chaired and coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province to organize a Conference on Tourism Promotion, Promotion and Cooperation in Development between Hanoi and Vinh Long in Vinh Long province.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Tran Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism emphasized the consistent goal of cooperation between Hanoi and Vinh Long is to build unique, diverse, and highly attractive inter-provincial and inter-regional tourism product chains, connecting destinations according to each theme such as: Cultural - Heritage Linkage, Nature - Experience Linkage, Cuisine - Shopping Linkage and Craft Village - Riverside Tourism Linkage.
At the Conference, the signing ceremony of the tourism development cooperation minutes between the Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province for the period 2026-2030 took place. This is an important content in the work of linking and developing tourism between Hanoi Capital and provinces and cities across the country after the rearrangement of administrative units. Many interesting topics were also presented by speakers and tourism experts at the Conference.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung said that in recent years, Vinh Long has achieved many positive results in tourism development linkages with Hanoi, through activities of information exchange, promotion, product development cooperation, tours, and sharing experiences in state management of tourism.
The signing of this cooperation agreement continues to affirm the determination of the two localities in implementing Directive No. 08/CT-TTg dated February 23, 2024 of the Prime Minister on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development with the motto: "Tight connection - rhythmic coordination - extensive cooperation - Sustainable efficiency".
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Phan Linh Chi affirmed that with the strong direction of the leaders of the two localities, the dynamism of tourism businesses, and the support of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the connection between Hanoi and Vinh Long will become increasingly strong and effective.
The cooperation will open up new tourism routes, new products and new markets, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of tourism in the two localities, becoming a driving force for economic - cultural - social growth in the new period.
From November 4-7, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will organize a program to promote, advertise and cooperate in developing tourism in the capital with the southwestern provinces in Vinh Long and Dong Thap.
The Hanoi City Promotion and Cooperation Group will organize a field survey program in Vinh Long and Dong Thap with destinations such as Con Ho Community Tourism Area, Ben Tre Coconut Market, Khmer Cultural - Tourism Village, Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House, Sa Dec Flower Village, Tram Chim National Park, Hoang Hao Eco-tourism Site, My Xuong Tourism Village... In particular, the delegation will survey and experience the Ok Bok Festival - one of the national intangible cultural heritages.
