According to Lao Dong reporters, since the morning of April 7 (March 10 of the lunar calendar, Hung King's Commemoration), streets such as Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Bach Dang and the Cau Pagoda area in Hoi An have been packed with people, creating a dense atmosphere.


As the afternoon went on, the crowd of people continuously poured in, jostling to move on the narrow streets. Coffee shops, restaurants and souvenir shops are always full, with many tourists waiting patiently to be served.
Local people said that although it is a holiday, coffee prices are still as usual at 20,000 VND/tael; lemon juice at 15,000 VND/tael; the rental price of a motel room remains stable at 300,000 to 500,000 VND/day.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: "Although the old town is very crowded, I feel the warmth and friendliness of the people here. The ancient architecture combined with the festive atmosphere makes my trip memorable" .
Mr. Mark Thompson, a British tourist, expressed: "I am very impressed with the excitement of Hoi An during this holiday. In particular, releasing flower lanterns on the Hoai River in the evening creates a beautiful and romantic scene".
Mr. Tran Van Minh, a long-time cyclo driver in Hoi An, said: "The increased number of customers during the holidays helps us earn a significant amount of income. Although work is busier, everyone is happy because the old town is increasingly attracting tourists".
According to preliminary statistics from the Hoi An tourism industry, on April 7 alone, Hoi An ancient town welcomed more than 4,000 visitors, three times more than previous days.
According to the announcement of the world's leading online travel platform Booking.com, Hoi An has entered the top 10 destinations in Vietnam most searched by domestic tourists on the occasion of Hung Vuong's Commemoration in 2025.
