Expanding international multilateral connectivity
The Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE HCMC) 2025 will officially take place from September 4 to 6 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). This year's fair has the theme of Sustainable Tourism, a vibrant experience.
This is the 19th time the event has been held, marking a solid development step of the ITE HCMC Fair on its journey to become an influential international tourism promotion platform in the Mekong region and Asia.
At the press conference of the 19th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair held on August 14, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that this year, Ho Chi Minh City will host the event in a different position.
In the context of Ho Chi Minh City merging with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, both oriented to become a super city, organizing a large-scale event gathering international units will contribute to the development of tourism. This is also an opportunity to reposition products, reposition markets, and bring a tourism image worthy of the new city.
At the same time, continue to build a brand for the new Ho Chi Minh City, promote to the international market and partners who have had cooperative and friendly relationships over the past time.
Not only stopping at these new points, this year, the ITE HCMC event also expands connections with related industries and fields. Thereby, opening up a scale of international multilateral connectivity, not only in the tourism sector but also linking with industry and trade and international trading partners.
As of August 8, more than 250 exhibition units and 240 international buyers have confirmed their participation from international corporations in the Atlantic, Europe, America, and Asia.
Vietnamese tourism businesses and international buyers participate in activities such as B2B appointment schedules and destination survey programs (FAM Trip).
ITE HCMC is also a prestigious specialized forum, where experts, managers, businesses and international press share knowledge, updating new development trends of the tourism industry in the digital and green era.
The first city in Vietnam to host TPO
Within the framework of the fair, Ho Chi Minh City will host the 12th Global cities Tourism Promotion Organization (TPO) in 2025 with the theme "Shaping the future of the tourism industry: Towards digital transformation and green transformation". Ho Chi Minh City is the first city in Vietnam to host the TPO program.
The 12th TPO Congress is an opportunity for cities around the world to discuss strategies, share experiences and propose innovative solutions to develop sustainable tourism, apply digital technology and move towards environmentally friendly tourism models.

For the first time, ITE HCMC 2025 took place at the same time and location as the event Connecting the international goods supply chain - Viet Nam International Sourcing and Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum 2025. This will be a top event, promoting trade and tourism connectivity between Vietnam and the world.
International purchasing groups will explore more than 12,000 products in 4 product groups at 500 booths of more than 400 Vietnamese enterprises, from agricultural products, beverages, processed foods to consumer industrial products such as textiles, footwear and supporting industrial products, personal electronic equipment.
Honored as Asia's Best Trade Show at the 2024 MICE Awards, ITE HCMC is the only tourism fair in Vietnam with an international buyer program, playing an important role in promoting international tourists to Vietnam.
