Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 416/KH-UBND on organizing the Northwest Tourism Fair in 2026 and the Space for promoting and connecting OCOP products.
The event takes place from September 25 to September 30, 2026 at Gold Field Square, Nghia Lo ward (Lao Cai), to promote tourism demand, trade promotion and expand regional links.
According to the plan, the fair aims to promote the potential and strengths of culture and tourism of Lao Cai and the Northwest provinces to people and domestic and international tourists; and at the same time create trade connection opportunities for units and tourism service businesses in the area.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 9:30 am on September 26, 2026 at Gold Field Square, Nghia Lo ward, Lao Cai province.
The fair includes 4 main spaces. In which, the stage space and performance activities have an area of about 128m2; The space to promote and connect OCOP products associated with regional tourism is about 400m2.
The space for promoting and advertising tourism and introducing typical tourism products of the expanded Northwest provinces has 65 standard booths. The exhibition space "Colors of Northwest culture" includes 14 standard booths and 200m2 of tents of 7 communes and wards, along with a book and reading culture area.
Within the framework of the event, the Final Round of the culinary program "Lao Cai - Touching the Peak of Taste" 2026 will also take place. The program includes activities to display, evaluate, honor typical tourist dishes and perform specialty culinary processing to serve people and tourists.
