On September 13, the 12th Traditional Pagoda Ro Bull Racing Festival - 2026 officially kicked off at the Pagoda Ro bull racing ground (An Cu commune, An Giang province).
This year's event gathers 32 pairs of excellent cows and a series of unique cultural experience activities, promising to attract a large number of tourists and photographers. This is the most anticipated unique folk culture and sports event of the Khmer people in the Bay Nui region this year.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's race gathered 32 pairs of cows representing neighboring communes and wards to compete. Among them, the host unit An Cu commune contributed the largest force with 13 pairs; followed by Tinh Bien ward with 12 pairs; Chi Lang ward contributed 4 pairs and Nui Cam commune participated in 3 pairs.
The tournament not only shows off the strength and skillful control techniques of the cattle operators but also has the meaning of honoring and preserving the traditional cultural values of the Khmer people, promoting the image of the homeland and promoting local tourism development.

According to the Organizing Committee, there are also many attractive activities at the Festival, such as: A quick photo contest for professional and amateur photographers, reporters and photography enthusiasts; Traditional worship ceremony to pray for a smooth race and bumper crops; seedling planting activities according to Khmer traditional customs. In addition, visitors to the festival also have the opportunity to visit booths introducing and promoting typical OCOP products of the locality.
