Speaking at the press conference of the 2nd Sa Dec Ornamental Flower Festival - 2025 on the morning of December 5 in Sa Dec ward, Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen Trang - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province - emphasized that this is an important event not only for tourism but also directly linked to the socio-economic development goal of the province, especially in the context of Sa Dec having many opportunities to develop a green economy and agricultural tourism.
With the theme "New Day Flowers", the Organizing Committee aims to focus on 3 key areas: honoring the value of the flower village - an important foundation for the Sa Dec economy; enhancing the value of flower - ornamental products, standardizing production processes and creating sustainable livelihoods for people and promoting the image of Dong Thap - Sa Dec effectively and substantially.
Every space, every program of the festival carries the message: Tradition is the foundation - Creativity is the driving force - Connectivity is the solution - Socio-economic efficiency is the ultimate goal, Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen Trang added.

The 2nd Sa Dec Comedy Festival will take place from December 27, 2025 to January 4, 2026 in Sa Dec ward. In which Sa Dec Park is the focus of the event. This is a provincial-level event with more than 30 cultural, artistic and tourism activities, notably displaying 1,000 flower - ornamental plant varieties; recreating the space of the old Sa Dec market and the old Sa Dec flower market.
In particular, connecting with Huynh Thuy Le ancient house to create a highlight to attract tourists with the activity "Night of storytelling - Huynh Thuy Le ancient house"; exhibiting and performing the province's national intangible cultural heritage such as: Southern Art of Don Ca A Tai Tu; Ho Dong Thap.
In addition, there are activities on Boat and boat making in Long Hau commune; exhibition displaying OCOP products, typical products of the Mekong Delta with 112 booths... It is expected that the event will welcome 500,000 visitors.
