On November 21, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that it has a planned program to prepare for important events of the center as well as the Hue tourism industry in late 2024 and early 2025.
Some special programs include: Ceremony to receive the UNESCO certificate recognizing the Documentary Heritage "The reliefs on nine bronze cauldrons in Hue Royal Palace" and announcement of the completion of the project "Conservation and overall restoration of Thai Hoa Palace relic" to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day November 23 (November 23, 2024, at Thai Hoa Palace yard, Hue Imperial City).
Ceremony to announce the completion of the Project to preserve, restore, renovate and promote the value of the national relic Hai Van Quan (in coordination with Da Nang City) at 8:30 a.m., December 21.
The ceremony to announce Hue City as a centrally-governed city (expected) is scheduled to take place on December 31, 2024, at Ngo Mon Square.
Art program to welcome the new year 2025 and announce the Hue Festival 2025 series. Time: morning of January 1, 2025 at Ngo Mon Square.
The Lunar New Year 2025 program (expected) includes a New Year's Eve art program; pole raising and lowering ceremony, lion and dragon dance, and royal games to serve tourists during the Lunar New Year at the Imperial Citadel.
In particular, for the first time, the city will organize the 1st Hue Ancient Capital Martial Arts Festival - 2025, which will take place from March 21 to March 23, 2025 at Ngo Mon Square, Vo Mieu and surrounding relics in Hue City.
According to information from the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, at the ceremony to announce Hue City as a centrally-governed city and the art program to welcome the new year 2025 and announce the Hue Festival 2025 series, people and tourists will have the opportunity to enjoy special fireworks displays.
