Hue - Dien Hue Nam Festival takes place from August 20-22 with a procession on the Perfume River, expected to attract up to 30,000 people.

On August 10, the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Preservation Center said that within the framework of the Autumn Festival - Hue Festival 2026, the Hue Nam Palace Festival will be held from August 20-22, i.e., August 8-10, 7th lunar month.

Activities take place at Hue Nam Palace (Hon Chen Palace), Hai Cat village communal house and Holy Mother Temple at 352 Chi Lang, Phu Xuan ward, Hue city.

Dien Hue Nam Festival is a national intangible cultural heritage, associated with the practice of worshiping the Mother Goddess of the Three Realms of Vietnamese people - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.

According to the plan, the festival is expected to have about 20,000 - 30,000 participants, with many rituals and religious activities on the Perfume River and at places of worship.

On August 20, the procession of the Holy Mother was held from the Holy Mother Temple at 352 Chi Lang to Hue Nam Palace, followed by the opening ceremony, announcement ceremony and pilgrimage activities.

On August 21, the main worship ceremony took place, praying for national peace and prosperity; inviting Saint Mother and the Tu Phu Council to Hai Cat village communal house.

On August 22, the main worship ceremony was held at Hai Cat village communal house, then the procession returned to Hue Nam Palace and the Temple of Saint Mother, ending the festival.

During the period from August 18-22, visitors are exempt from entrance tickets to Hue Nam Palace.

Before the festival, on August 19, the Hue Ancient Citadel Relic Preservation Center in coordination with the Vietnam Mother Goddess Religion Research and Development Institute organized a scientific conference with the theme "Management, protection and promotion of the value of the intangible cultural heritage of the Hue Nam Palace Festival in contemporary life" in Hue City.

The conference focused on assessing the historical, cultural, and religious values of the festival, and at the same time discussing solutions for managing, preserving and promoting heritage values in today's life.
