On August 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province informed that during the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026, the program "Tour 1: City Tour 01 Day" is introduced to combine festival experiences with exploring the coffee capital and learning about the traditional culture of the Central Highlands.
According to the schedule, the tour uses high-quality tourist cars, picking up tourists from 7:30 am at a hotel in the center of Buon Ma Thuot ward. After listening to the tour guide's general introduction, the group moved to 10/3 Square at 8:00 am to participate in festival activities, check-in at the Durian Tower and take souvenir photos.
At about 8:30 am, visitors visit the Durian Culinary Festival Space at Eco Palace, No. 2 Mai Hac De Street, Buon Ma Thuot Ward. Here, visitors can enjoy dishes and drinks made from durian and watch artisans perform culinary art.
At 9:30 am, the delegation experienced the exciting atmosphere of the pickup truck parade promoting durian with the theme "Durian Journey Dak Lak - Connecting to reach far", then visited the Dak Lak Museum to learn about the history and culture of the Central Highlands ethnic groups, the ecosystem and biodiversity of the locality.
Next, tourists visit booths introducing fresh durian, durian processed products and typical OCOP products of the province.
At noon, the delegation enjoyed Tay Nguyen specialties such as bamboo rice, grilled chicken, wild vegetables, and fish in Buon Ako Dhông. Visitors also had the opportunity to learn about the life, customs and culture of the E De people in this village.
In the afternoon, the journey continues at the World Coffee Museum at 2:30 PM. Visitors learn about the history and culture of global coffee and enjoy specialty coffee in an art space. At 4:00 PM, the delegation visits the Ko Tam Community Cultural Ecotourism Area, combining enjoying cuisine and cultural exchange of the Central Highlands gongs.
From 7:30 PM, visitors can choose to participate in programs according to the official schedule of the Organizing Committee, including the Opening Ceremony of the Dak Lak Durian Festival, the grand music festival night or the reality show "Memories of the Long House".
Mr. Tran Hong Tien - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province said that City Tour is designed with a schedule from morning to night, helping tourists experience many typical features of Dak Lak in one day, from festivals, durian, coffee to cuisine and traditional culture of the Central Highlands.
